…did we…

My words, your words

Same thought, same situation

I lived with time, you chased all the time

Here we are older and beautiful

What did we want any way?

The words resonated….

Live a Life

Let me live a life.

Hold not my freedom;

I wish to fly away,

Away into the darkness.

You will see me glow;

My light minuscule

But, a lifetime for me.

Let me be….

Alas! she left the firefly;

A rare occurrence in her garden,

To be itself not hers…

That damp night when the world slept

She tried to conquer her fears

Of thunder and lightning

To let her live a life.

Last December

She stood frozen

Having decided to dance

Challenging the winter.

This December

She stands frozen

Meeting the same face

That had challenged the previous winter.

The clock struck again

And the year passed by.

Did you just say

You gave me extra ketchup?

Is it out of love

Or being in love?

Either way, love is beautiful;

Give a form you love to name.

So, why not test the colour –

How deep is the red?

It would be…

My heart and soul alike;

What would it be,

If it happens, to see

Falling in love?

I’m waiting.

She whispered the last line,

Only for the wind to hear;

The clay in hand came alive

Finer than her last try.

Shouldn’t you fall in love?

Here, I’m waiting.

Could you get me a glass of ice please?

Don’t tell me I need to give my reasons.

Yes, for every why requires an answer.

Well, wanted to check if it melts the same way.

In that case, it’s just the way question gets answered.

Spill not a drop

Not anymore,

For reasons may wary….

Their eyes remained focussed

Where the ice met the glass.

I never said,

“You owe me a dream.”

Life manifested

Even more beautifully….
